How panes and openers affect a single window price
Two windows of the exact same width and height can differ by €200 to €350 depending on how many opening sashes (casements) are built into the outer frame:
- Single side-hung or top-hung casement (600×900mm to 900×1200mm): Lowest hardware cost — one pair of stainless friction hinges and one multi-point espagnolette handle.
- Twin side-by-side casement (1200×1200mm): A central vertical mullion with one fixed pane and one side-hung fire-escape opener, or two opening sashes.
- Three-section living room casement (1800×1350mm): Large central fixed picture pane flanked by two side-hung openers or top-hung fanlights.
- Bay or bow casement window (3 to 5 facets): Structural bay jack poles, cill weld and insulated bay roof add €1,500 to €3,500 per bay.
